Bude were punished in the first half against local rivals Holsworthy. After an even start Holsworthy started to look the more potent and reacted to a mistake in the Bude defence which allowed a Holsworthy striker to nip in and score after 15 mins. Two further goals during the half saw them go in at half time with a three goal cushion. Holsworthy went four up mid way through the second half scoring from close range. Bude only started to show what they were capable of in the final 20 mins scoring three goals, Wayne Cornish grabbing his 1^st for the club with a left foot strike from a corner, John Clayton grabbed the second soon after. Youngster Darren Clayton won and scored a well taken penalty with 5 mins remaining, but it was too little too late for Bude.
