After an even start Boscastle took the lead
on 10 mins when their left winger broke down the left and squared the
ball to Gyles Reynolds who scored from close range. Bude shortly after
hit the cross bar with a Gary Dinshaw free kick. More pressure paid off
when Budes Jason Ferrett equalised with a fine strike. Bude were on top
playing the better football and took the lead when a Ferrett low cross
from the left found Dinshaw who flicked in from just yards out. After
an appeal for a throw in wasn't awarded to Bude, Bude stopped, but play
continued as Boscastle went down the left and a pass across to Peter
Hopper saw Boscastle equalise almost immediately. Boscastle were a more
determined team in the second half and scored to early goals through
Mark Gusterson and a first goal in two years for Mark Hewitt. Bude
pulled one back in the 80th min when a Norman Foster pass found Dan
Balsdon who smashed in from 20 yards, Bude couldn't find the equaliser
in the final 10 mins.
