Bude produced a great win against their local rivals in this mid week clash. Midway through the first half they went one nil up when a deep cross out on the right from Simon Chadwick found Tommy Statton on the edge of the box who swivelled to volley a low shot past the Boscastle keeper. Bude grabbed their 2^nd early in the 2^nd half when Statton was fed a ball in the box, his shot was charged down from a defender and Chadwick reacted to fire in the rebound from 12 yards. Boscastles’ fitness levels started to dwindle in the final 25 mins as Bude grabbed two more goals. Dan Balsdon worked well to dribble the ball down the left to the by-line and hit a fierce cross back across the goal line and the keeper knocked the ball back in to his own net. The final goal was a Chadwick free kick out on the right, which found John Clayton at the back, his header was superbly saved by the Boscastle keeper but unfortunately fell in to Stattons’ path and he made no mistake to grab his second.
