Bude lost their 2^nd game in a row as they let in three soft first half goals. Although Bude had all the play in the first half , they couldn’t find the net. St.Newlyn had three or four chances and took them. The first after 20 mins saw Carlos Howard coolly finish from just outside the box, and they soon made it two when Gary Hodgson gave the ball away to a St.Newlyn midfielder who quickly played in Neill Razzell out on the left, his pace left Bude for dead as he ran in on goal and clinically finished. St Newlyn made it three after 35 mins when Razzell closed down and stole the ball from last defender Wayne Cornish, and again couldn’t be caught as he ran on and slotted past keeper Ben Purcell. The second half was more even, Bude again creating all the openings, however it wasn’t happening in front of goal. Wayne Cornish came closest twice, with one hitting the crossbar with a header and Steve Smeeth, back the day before from his American travels showed glimpses of what we will see from him this year but the jetlag showed in the 2^nd half. Bude need to now forget about these last two games and get back to winning ways, starting this Saturday to maintain they’re top of the table status.
