In this top versus bottom clash it was Bude who got back to winning ways. With difficult windy conditions Bude could have seen themselves two down inside 5 mins as a corner was headed goal wards but cleared off the line by defender Jamie Hopcroft and then keeper Ben Purcell misjudged the ball swirling in the air, the ball fell behind him but with an open goal there, the striker shot in to the side netting. Bude soon took control though and nearly went ahead when Jason Ferrett cut inside from the left and shot from just outside the box. His right foot strike (yes right foot) was superbly tipped over the bar by the visiting keeper. Bude soon capitalised on the weather when a Ferrett cross wide on the left, looking to be going out, drifted back in, Tommy Statton controlled inside the box and tucked the ball away. On the hour mark Bude made it two nil with a Steve Smeeth strike. Although Bude started to sit back and allow St.Stephens back in to the game, they went three up 15 mins later when Gary Dinshaw scored his 1^st goal of the season and for the first team, with a 25-yard screamer. St.Stephens grabbed a consolation goal when their winger was put in down the left and his cross got in behind keeper Purcell and  St.Stephens Rodney Rickard had a simple tap in from close range.
