With players out Bude were forced to make changes to the team with manager Clive Cornish delighted he could finally pick himself, but it had the desired effect as they beat the current league champions.  Both teams worked hard in the first half to play 'proper' football, few chances were created from both sides, Bude keeper Matt Warburton was called upon a couple of times to make important saves.  Bude took the lead shortly in the second half, the ball fell in the Polperro box and Jamie Hopcroft struck from 12 yards.  Bude continued to press the home side and earned a penalty when a defender handled in the area.  Dan Balsdon smashed the ball down the middle to go two ahead.  Although Polperro pushed an extra man forward and looked dangerous from the odd corner, Bude held out, defended well and towards the end of the game were well on top and created a number of chances to increase the lead, but the Polperro keeper made some superb saves to keep them in the game,  Bude finally went away happy with the 3 points in the bag.
