With a strong wind Bude used it to their advantage in the first half creating enough chances but the ball couldn't find the back of the net.  St.Mawgan took a shock lead when their left winger got in down the left to put in a cross come shot, which keeper Matt Warburton could only parry, and striker  James Olsen lost his marker for a simple tap in.  Bude's striker Dan Balsdon then hit the crossbar  and soon after got played through on goal, put this shot past the keeper only to see it come back of the far post.  A free kick awarded to Bude just outside the box after 30 mins saw Balsdon take a quick free kick, the keeper reacted well to save but the ball fell in to Adam Cornish's path and he made not mistake to level the game.  Five mins later Bude took the lead,  defender Wayne Cornish rifled a cross in to box from the right, the home right back misjudged the flight which allowed Gary Hodgson to rise and head in to the far corner.  Bude dominated the start of the second half, playing their best football of the game, but clear chances weren't being created.  St.Mawgan equalised midway through the half when a mistake in the Bude defence allowed Ryan Worrall to run on and slot the ball easily past Warburton.  The game fizzled out after this, the game was more even but in difficult conditions both teams rarely looked like going on and winning.
