The home side edged the opening period of this game, and went ahead after 15 mins when a well-worked move saw the ball find Neil Razzell in the box who finished well.  Bude’s confidence grew as the half went on and by the end were on top, with Tommy Statton working his socks off up front, but still found themselves a goal behind at the break.  Bude continued to dominate the start of the second half and soon won themselves a penalty.  A short corner from Simon Chadwick saw Norman Foster collect, run in to the box and was brought down by a St.Newlyn player.  Foster put the keeper the wrong way from the spot to level the match.  Bude continued to press and soon won another penalty when a home defender handled in the area.  The keeper though guessed the right way this time to deny Foster his second.  This was possibly the turning point as within minutes St.Newlyn were ahead, an unchallenged corner was headed in from 6 yards out.  Bude pushed looking for the equaliser but they lost their shape in the process, St.Newlyn pounced on this to score two further goals from Neil Razzell.  The game was lost as Bude had the final say when Striker Gary Dinshaw hit a superb left foot strike past the keeper from the edge of the box.
